We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
Under the Freedom of Information Act, please could you tell me whether your department has paid for a ‘guest speaker’, ‘motivational speaker’, ‘celebrity speaker’, or similar, to address staff at any point since January 1, 2007.
If so, please could you tell me who the speaker was, how much they were paid, who they addressed (inc the number of staff present) and what the subject of their talk was.
We released the following information on 17 November 2010.
