This short note shows how the best value for money option is reached when applying the Green Book method. It includes a case study for both the strategic and economic dimensions of the 5 case model, illustrating how these dimensions should be applied in practice. It also includes case studies showing how to handle un-monetisable factors in appraisal, and when it is acceptable to discount a higher BCR option. A simple table to provide advice to senior decision makers on value for money has also been included, please find the green book template and support material.
