This is the third annual report from the Statutory Forensic Science Regulator Mr Gary Pugh OBE.

The report covers the period between 25 July 2024 to 24 July 2025.

The report includes the following:

• development of regulatory requirements and the code of practice version 2
• compliance with the code, regulatory requirements and assessment of risk
• referrals, investigations and enforcement
