Our response

I see from the data you provided that £49,224 was allocated to website development. Please could you direct me to this website?

This money (£49,224) was spent on our new Working Group website which will contain a Working Group Portal. The Working Group Portal is for interested parties. It contains communications guidance and templates that enable interested parties to launch public facing working groups, including establishing their own digital channels such as a website. Working Groups will be the initial community groups established to explore if siting a Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) in their area is right for them. As such, the Working Group Portal as part of this site will only ‘go live’ when working groups are established – currently no Working Groups have formed. This site therefore has not yet gone live so we are unable to direct you to view the site. The site is intended for use by members of Working Groups as they enter the siting process and, with the exception of the homepage, members of the public will not be able to access this unless they are a member of a Working Group.

In addition, I noticed you spent £77,026 on events. Please can you provide me a list of the events

that you have attended and are planning to attend from March 2019 – present

The £77,026 was spent on designing, building, storing and transporting a new portable exhibition which RWM uses across a range of exhibitions and roadshows. It also includes stands at national exhibitions. To date these have included:

a) Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Stakeholder Summit b) Trade Union Congress annual conference c) Three NDA ‘Site Stakeholder Group’ Roadshows d) As part of this expenditure we will also attend the County Councils Network conference / exhibition between 17-19 November 2019 e) We have also attended the Prospect Energy Conference and Local Government Association National Conference over the Summer.

We hope that this meets with your approval but if you are dissatisfied with the way in which RWM has dealt with your request, you have the right to require us to review our actions and decisions. If you wish to request a review, please write to me at the address below or via e-mail within 40 working days. You will receive a full response to your request for review within 20 working days of its receipt.

If you are subsequently dissatisfied with the way in which we have handled your request for review, you may ask the Information Commissioner to review our decision. You must submit your complaint to the Commissioner within 6 months of receiving the response to review letter. The Commissioner’s Office may be contacted via www.ico.org.uk
