The variation effective from 00:01hrs Wednesday 01 July 2026 is as follows:
1. Western Waters scallop effort days set for Q3
- Affecting licence schedules for category A (11), A Islands (12), A Pelagic (17), B (31) and C (41)
Western Water scallop days at sea now set to 75 days for Q3 (00:01 hrs 01 July 2026 – 23:59 30 September 2026)
2. Western Waters crab effort days set
- Affecting Licence Schedules for Category A (11), Category A Islands (12), Category A Pelagic (17), Category B (31) and Category C (41)
Western Water Crab days at sea now set to 180 days (00:01 hrs 01 January – 23:59 31 December 2026)
3. King scallop closure
- Affecting Over 10m licence schedules A (11), A (Islands) (12), A (Pelagic) (17), B (31), and C (41)
Appears in Over 10m schedules at:
10.1 Vessels over 10 metres in overall length; Fishing for king scallops (Pectens maximus) using dredges in UK waters of ICES division 7d is prohibited from 00:01 hours on 01 July to 23:59 on 30 September.
10.2 Vessels over 12 metres in overall length; Fishing for king scallops (Pectens maximus) using dredges in UK waters of ICES rectangle 29E6, 29E7, 30E6 and 30E7 of ICES division 7e is prohibited from 00:01 hours on 01 July to 23:59 on 30 September.
