1. Check your licence

It is your responsibility to check your licence documents before going to sea as licences can be changed at any time. The most up to date licences can be accessed on the understand your fishing vessel licence page.

The variations effective from 00:01 hours, Friday 6 November 2020 are as follows:

1.1 Under 10m Non-Sector Quota Increase

Affecting Licence Cat A (91/99)

  • Cod in sea area VIId from 0.8 to 2 tonnes
  • Cod in sea areas VIIb-c, VIIe-k, VIII, IX, X, CECAF 34.1.1¹ from 0.02 to 0.03 tonne (Strictly bycatch only)
  • Skates and Rays in sea area VIId from 2 to 3 tonnes
  • Mackerel in sea areas IIa (Non-EC Zone), Vb (EC Zone), VI, VII, VIIIabde, XII (International Waters) and XIV (International Waters) from 2 to 3 tonnes

2. Over 10m Non-Sector Quota Increase

Affecting Licence Cat A 11/99 and Cat A Island 12/99

  • Cod in sea area VIId from 0.8 to 2 tonnes
  • Skates and Rays in sea area VIId from 1.8 to 3 tonnes
  • Mackerel in sea areas IIa (Non-EC Zone), Vb (EC Zone), VI, VII, VIIIabde, XII (International Waters) and XIV (International Waters) from 1 to 3 tonnes

Affecting Licence Cat B 31/99 and Cat C 41/99

  • Skates and Rays in sea area VIId from 1.8 to 3 tonnes
