Details
This report presents findings from a rapid literature review aimed at supporting the third cohort of the Education and Outcomes Pathways Studies, which is known internally as EOPS Secondary and has the public-facing name Growing Up in the 2020s.
The review identifies a range of factors shown to affect the attainment and outcomes of secondary school pupils, including:
- risk factors
- protective factors
- whether there are any gaps in the evidence base
The report was commissioned to help guide data collection for EOPS Secondary by showing what is already known. We can build on this to provide new longitudinal evidence on factors influencing attainment and wider outcomes in secondary school.
This study is commissioned by the Department for Education and conducted by Ipsos in partnership with Anna Freud.
