This report presents findings from a rapid literature review.
It supports the second cohort of the Education and Outcomes Pathways Studies (EOPS) research programme. The study is called ‘EOPS Primary’ or ‘Five to Twelve’.
The review identifies:
- factors that affect primary school pupils’ attainment and outcomes, including risk factors and protective factors
- gaps in the existing evidence
The Department for Education (DfE) commissioned the report to guide data collection for EOPS Primary.
The report will help to provide new longitudinal evidence on factors influencing attainment and wider outcomes in primary school.
This study is commissioned by DfE and conducted by NatCen.
