Details

This research explores the experiences of a small sample of g men who reoffended after participating in a historic, prison based treatment programme for sex offenders (SOTP). SOTPs have been replaced with a new suite of programmes based on the latest international evidence on effective treatment for this cohort of offenders. The first of the new programmes was introduced in 2016. The findings of this research build on the wider desistance literature, and support the development and content of the new suite of programmes.
