The overall aim of this evaluation was to investigate the effectiveness of the youth sector development fund (YSDF) in increasing the capacity and long-term sustainability of civil society organisations (CSOs), and in turn the effects of their work on service users.
It looked primarily at CSOs participating in round 2 and round 3 of the programme, although this report also includes a section on the YSDF pathfinders, based on findings from their own evaluation activities.
The report will be of interest to the Department for Education, the Cabinet Office, and the Office for Civil Society - as well as CSOs and commissioners working in the youth sector more widely, including those engaged in the commissioning support programme.
