Electric vehicle chargepoint grant for renters or flat owners
What you can get
An electric vehicle chargepoint grant (also called an EV chargepoint grant) can help towards the cost of installing an electric vehicle chargepoint socket at your property.
How much you can get
You can get 75% off the cost of buying and installing a socket, up to a maximum of £500.
There is a different way to apply for an EV chargepoint grant if you’re a landlord.
If you applied before 1 April 2026
If you applied before 1 April 2026, your grant will be worth up to £350 per socket.
You can re-apply for the £500 rate if your chargepoint has not been installed. Tell your installer before you re-apply.
