The attached letters to the NHS from Dr Keith Ridge, Chief Pharmacist, and Professor Sharland and Dr Cliodna McNulty, from the Advisory Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections, seeks support from the NHS in promoting this annual event. The aim of the Europe-wide public health initiative is to tackle the rise in antibiotic resistance and encourage responsible use of antibiotics.
