This report outlines legislative changes and new legislation that impacts on the role of the Government Chemist. It includes legislation on:
- food safety, including contaminants, hygiene, food contact materials and additives
- consumer choice and prevention of fraud covering general labelling and genetically modified food
- health and nutrition, for example nutrition labelling, nutrients and supplements
- animal feed and fertilisers
The review is from October 2011 to March 2012.
