Estimate of Expense for HS2 Phase 2a Additional Provision 2
Reports the cost of the works which are the subject of the additional powers sought in Additional Provision 2 (AP2).

Details
The form and content of the Estimate of Expense is prescribed in the Standing Orders for the House of Lords and House of Commons.
In many cases the works in AP2 are in substitution for other works in the Bill and they are not at the same location (and the works in the Bill are therefore no longer required) or the works in AP2 are not “like-for-like” substitutions. The Estimate of Expense does not report the savings arising from the omission of the works in the Bill, and therefore provides only a partial picture of the effect of AP2 on the overall cost of Phase 2a of HS2. This is a consequence of the requirements of Standing Orders with which AP2 is required to comply.
