1. Action: invitation to express an interest to deliver a T Level in construction, design, surveying and planning in the 2020 to 2021 academic year

The Department for Education is looking to identify a small number of providers to deliver a T Level in construction; design, surveying and planning in the 2020 to 2021 academic year. Institutions will need to meet a set of criteria and complete and submit an expression of interest to ESFA. The closing date for applications is midnight on 29 June 2018.

We have published information setting out how to express an interest in delivering the T Level in construction, design, surveying and planning in 2020 to 2021 academic year.

2. Information: DfE T Level consultation

The Department for Education issued a consultation in November 2017 to obtain views on the major aspects of our proposals for implementing T Levels, and this consultation closed on 8 February 2018.

3. Information: T Level data collection is now open

The T Level data collection is now open. The data collection will gather information to inform T Level implementation and inform future provider support programmes.

We are asking and encouraging all providers who plan to offer T Levels to supply the requested information. The deadline for completion of this data collection is midnight on 6 July 2018. You can find full guidance on how to complete the data collection on GOV.UK.

4. Information: T Level occupational maps consultation

The Institute for Apprenticeships (IfA) issued a consultation in December 2017 on the Occupational Maps, which closed on 8 February 2018.

The IfA has published their response to this consultation.

5. Information: T Level outline content

Groups of employers have been developing the content of the new T Levels, setting out the knowledge and skills a student needs to have acquired upon completion of the programme.

The draft content for the first 3 pathways has been published on the Institute for Apprenticeships website for comment.

6. Information: providers delivering T Levels in the 2020 to 2021 academic year

We have now published the list of successful education and training providers who have been selected to deliver T Levels in academic year 2020 to 2021 on GOV.UK.
