1. Information: accessible apprenticeship funding rules

We have now released an accessible version of the apprenticeship funding rules in a digital format.

You can view the latest accessible versions on GOV.UK.

2. Information: Department for Education consultation on FE funding and accountability reform

For the past year we have been working on a plan to reform the further education funding and accountability system to help young people and adults get the skills they need to get good outcomes.

This work builds on the vision we set out for further education in the Skills for Jobs White Paper in January 2021.

We know colleges across the country are rising to this challenge already, and it is now our job to support them by improving the system so that it recognises and encourages all the work they do to support their students and help meet local and national skills needs.

If you are interested in understanding our proposals in more detail, please see the current consultation, ‘Implementing a new FE Funding and Accountability system’, where you can also find the link to respond.

We are hosting a webinar on Tuesday 6 September, where there will be the opportunity to hear an overview of the proposals and to ask questions. You can register for the webinar online.

This consultation is due to close at 23:55 on 21 September.
