Equality and diversity fund: for school-led projects

     The equality and diversity fund ended on 31 December 2020. We have added links to survey analysis for 2015 to 2016, 2016 to 2017 and 2017 to 2018.

Overview

Since 2014, the Department for Education (DfE) has provided equality and diversity leadership funding through the equality and diversity fund to support schools to develop local solutions and projects that helped teachers covered by at least one of the protected characteristics, as defined by the Equality Act 2010, progress into leadership.

The equality and diversity fund ended on 31 December 2020.

Analysis of the equality and diversity fund

Analysis of teachers who participated in the projects were carried out as part of end of year surveys to provide insight into how well they felt participation helped them to increase their confidence, develop their leadership style and achieve promotions.

We have published the analysis of responses to the surveys for the 2015 to 2016, 2016 to 2017 and 2017 to 2018 programmes. Results of the end of year survey for the 2018 to 2019 programme will be published shortly.
