This report presents findings from the EdTech Evidence Board (EEB) pilot, funded by the Department for Education and carried out by the Chartered College of Teaching.

Across 2 phases, the project explored and tested an independent, transparent approach to evaluating evidence for EdTech products.

The report covers:

• the design, development and testing of an evidence evaluation framework
• the pilot review process
• resources to support evidence-informed practice across the sector

The report shows that:

• independent assessment of EdTech evidence is feasible and valued
• wider action is needed to strengthen the quality, visibility and use of evidence across EdTech
