Highlights the department’s research priorities over the 2011-12 period. Aims to consolidate and align all existing and on-going research with the department’s key policy objectives. This provides an overall picture of our economic and social research in order to identify potential gaps in the evidence base. Demonstrates that the department is focussed on longer term goals whilst responding to more immediate challenges posed by the current economic situation.
