The Economic Crime Plan 2019 includes a commitment to ‘resolve evidence gaps through a long-term research strategy’. This research strategy represents a set of prioritised evidence needs to support the response to economic crime by better understanding the threat in key areas.

This document allows anyone considering research in this area to focus their work to impact on the priorities most important to Government. Building our understanding of the threat posed by economic crime is crucial, improving the evidence base on which policy choices are made and the targeting of resources on the most important risks and vulnerabilities.
