Request: For information about early release schemes used to reduce headcount in the Department and related agencies since May 2010 and including all years for which financial projections have been made.

Disclosure: The Department for Communities and Local Government has provided information about early release schemes run in the central Department, together with details of the Department’s new structure, the process followed to achieve necessary headcount reductions, and the associated costs and savings. The Department has also provided information about the schemes and headcount reductions in the Planning Inspectorate and the Fire Service College.
