This publication was withdrawn on

CICAIR’s Approved Inspector regime ended on 1 October 2024. The Building Safety Regulator now oversees building control bodies and registered building inspectors.

Details

This documents sets out the grounds of appeal, the composition of an appeals panel and how approved inspectors can prepare for an appeal.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is the designated body to approve inspectors in England and Wales from 5 April 2024, replacing the Construction Industry Council Approved Inspectors Register (CICAIR). This designation ends on 1 October 2024.

All references in the documents to CICAIR should be read as HSE.
