Can the Department provide the total number of disabled children and young people who received short breaks services for 2009/10, and 2008/09?
2. Release
The total number of disabled children and young people received short breaks services for 2009/10 and 2008/09 are as follows;
- in 2008/09 57,383 disabled children and young people received a short break
- in 2010/11 104,257 disabled children and young people received a short break.
The information requested, is now displayed on the Together for Disabled Children website. It may be worth noting that there a number of research reports relating to AHDC short breaks available from the publications section.
