Dennis (Haddenham) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from a drain near Hundred Foot Bank at National Grid Reference TL 40900 76253.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 4,740 cubic metres an hour
  • 10,000 cubic metres a day
  • 440,531 cubic metres a year
  • between 01 October and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for filling a reservoir for transfer to the Haddenham Internal Drainage Board drains and Old West River to support abstraction under other licences.
