Defence Catering Equipment Specification 42

Defines the minimum standards for catering equipment normally found in UK services messes.


This document, Version 1.6, prepared by Defence Food Services Team staff and published in February 2011, replaces the previous ‘Catering Equipment Specification 42’ published in 2004.

This specification is primarily for use in contracts which include the provision or replacement of catering equipment for use in service kitchens or dining rooms. All equipment shall be suitable for heavy duty use.
