Following the ‘Review of the tax arrangements of public sector appointees’ published on 23 May 2012, government departments and their Arm’s Length Bodies (ALBs) were required to implement the recommendations of the review within 3 months (from 23 August 2012). DCMS has implemented the recommendations of the review and sought the relevant tax assurances from all off-payroll appointees within DCMS and it’s ALBs.

  • The number of these for whom assurance as to their tax obligations has been sought
  • The number who have successfully provided assurance
  • The action taken against those who have not
