Details

Terms of reference for a new independently chaired Data Strategy Board (DSB), which will advise Ministers on releasing public sector data. This data, which has the potential to unlock growth for UK business, will initially come from the four Trading Funds that make up the Public Data Group (PDG):

  • the Met Office
  • Ordnance Survey
  • Companies House
  • the Land Registry

The DSB and the PDG will provide a more consistent approach to improving public access to data, and work with business and open data users brought together under the Cabinet Office’s Open Data User Group. See also the related consultation document and government response.
