£200,000 of grant funding has been awarded to the X-Catapult Consortium consisting of:
- Digital Catapult
- Connected Places Catapult
- High Value Manufacturing Catapult
X-Catapult Consortium will develop and host the National Cyber-Physical Infrastructure (NCPI) ecosystem in the UK.
The NCPI will build a community of innovators in industry, academia and the public sector to collaborate, coordinate, and share knowledge and insights to drive the UK Cyber-Physical Infrastructure agenda and realise the economic, social and environmental opportunities of Cyber-Physical Infrastructure.
Cyber-Physical Infrastructure (CPI) is the increasing connection of technologies like robotics, augmented and virtual reality, and the Internet of Things. This ‘infrastructure’ of networked technologies will underpin faster and cheaper innovation across a range of sectors, from future energy system to transport, manufacturing and health services.
