Criminal Justice and Courts Bill: government response to the Joint Committee on Human Rights

The government’s response to the Joint Committee on Human Rights, 14th report of session 2013 to 2014.


The government has set out its view on the Committee’s report in respect of the increased sentence for:

  • terrorism offences
  • electronic monitoring following release on licence
  • extreme pornography
  • young offenders
  • criminal courts charge
  • contempt of court

contained within the Criminal Justice and Courts Bill.
