Crabb Mill gauging station

The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement work to the flood defences at Crabb Mill gauging station, Woodbridge Brook in Lea, Malmesbury, SN16 9NF (NGR ST94880 86573).

The proposed improvement works will involve the following:

  • improvements to revetment systems, flow measuring techniques and the fish and eel passage
  • protection for the upstream and downstream extents of mortared stone revetment
  • installation of fish pass pre barrage within downstream wing walls and eel pass easements

The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. The works information is available for review by appointment with the project manager.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
