Details

This Freedom of Information response covers the total cost of control orders in each financial year since April 2006. It also provides details of the number of persons subject to control orders who are or have been in receipt of support and subsistence from the Home Office. The answers give the total figure spent since the commencement of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005. This includes the amount spent on asylum support, subsistence (including payments and accommodation), the payment of Council Tax bills and other necessary utilities, telephone line rental and phone cards, including VAT.
