The Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, the Rt Hon Angela Rayner MP, wrote to Lord Evans in July 2023 to make the Committee on Standards in Public Life aware of a speech being delivered at the Institute for Government, Thursday 13 July, on the Labour Party’s plans to ‘Clean Up’ Politics through an Independent Ethics and Integrity Commission.
