Q. We were asked for information on how many Wales Office staff and Ministers held corporate credit cards and what the total spending on these cards was in 2011-12.
A: 13 members of staff held cards in 2011-12, spending a total of £117,755.18. However, this includes the costs of all rail travel undertaken by the Department, where the booking tool used by staff charges the cost of the tickets to a centrally-held credit card. This means that the amount given does not represent discretionary spending by corporate cardholders. Ministers are not issued with corporate or government procurement cards.
