Congresbury Yeo, Congresbury: decision of factual change

This notice was withdrawn on

The appeal period has ended and the proposed changes to the main river map have been made.

After a period of consultation, the Environment Agency has decided to change the main river map for Congresbury Yeo, Congresbury, North Somerset.

The Environment Agency is making this change as a ‘determination’ under section 193C(1)(a) of the Water Resources Act 1991. A determination is a formal decision to change the main river map.

The determination is to change the main river map to correct the line of the Congresbury Yeo between national grid reference (NGR) ST44187 63509 and NGR ST44081 63679.

The culverted section of river has been removed due to development. The existing mill pond has been incorporated into a wetland area as part of the development site. The change means that the map reflects the fact that the watercourse no longer exists.

1. How to view the changes

You can see the original proposals on the Environment Agency’s main river consultation map. The green line (‘addition’) on the map is the proposed new line to show the correct position of the watercourse. The red line (‘deletion’) is the incorrect line, which will be deleted.

Or you can see the main rivers consultation map at:
