These statements record the findings and recommendations of the UK National Contact Point (UK NCP) about a complaint.

The complaint is from a non-governmental organisation (NGO) stating that Mozal SARL, a subsidiary of UK registered company BHP Billiton Plc (BHPB), did not comply with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) guidelines.

The NGO, based in Mozambique, is Justica Ambiental. It acted on behalf of a coalition of institutions that include Centro Terra Viva, Livaningo, Liga Moçambicana dos Direitos Humanos, Centro de Integridade Pública, and Kulima.
