Notice of change of company name in the matter of company registration no 13794813
In the name of MERCEDES-BENZ ENGINE OIL UK LTD and the application made to the Company Names Tribunal by MERCEDES-BENZ GROUP AG and MERCEDES-BENZ CARS UK LIMITED
On 26 April 2023 the company names adjudicator issued a decision ordering the respondent to the proceedings, MERCEDES-BENZ LTD, to change its registered company name to one that is not an offending name by 26 May 2023, in accordance with section 73(1) of the Companies Act 2006, subject to any appeal. No notification of a notice of appeal to the court in respect of the decision has been received.
In the absence of any application by MERCEDES-BENZ LTD, to change the registered company name, the adjudicator gave notice under sections 73(4) and (5) of the Companies Act 2006 on 16 June 2023 that the company name of MERCEDES-BENZ LTD was changed to 13794813 LTD. This change took effect upon the issue of the new certificate of incorporation showing the change of name, in accordance with section 73(6) of the Companies Act 2006.
The company name was changed to an offending name MERCEDES-BENZ ENGINE OIL UK LTD on 7 July 2023, in contravention of the adjudicator’s order dated 6 August 2020 under section 73(1) and in contravention of the notice given on 16 June 2023 under sections 73(4) and (5) of the Companies Act 2006.
The adjudicator hereby gives notice under sections 73(4) and (5) of the Companies Act 2006 that the company name of MERCEDES-BENZ ENGINE OIL UK LTD is changed to 13794813 LTD. This change is to take effect upon the issue of the new certificate of incorporation showing the change of name, in accordance with section 73(6) of the Companies Act 2006.
