Details
The Commission was established by the Commonwealth Scholarships Act, 1959. The constitution and Responsibilities of the Commission are set out in Chapter 6 of that Act, and successor legislation, most notably the International Development Act, 2002. The practical operation of the Commission is guided by a Framework Document and associated Financial Memorandum, copies of which can be found on the Commission web site . As is the case for all Non-Departmental Public Bodies, our work is subject to triennial review by the Cabinet Office. The last such review, in 2013, confirmed both the need for our work and the Commission as the appropriate form of delivery.
