In joint exercise with research councils, we invested £14 million in innovations that could combat the risks in online transactions.

There were 13 major collaborative research projects. Each lasted up to three years and involved 52 UK companies, universities and other organisations.

£1.25 million was shared by 19 shorter projects, each led by a small business and lasting up to one year.
