Details

This Code of Practice deals with the exercise by police officers of the following powers of stop and search:

  • section 47A of the Terrorism Act 2000 (searches in specified areas or places)
  • Schedule 6B to the Terrorism Act 2000 (searches in specific areas or places- supplementary)

It applies to any search governed by this code by a police officer which commences after 00:00:01hrs on 18 March 2011.
