1. Introduction

The Chair welcomed members to the meeting.

2. Chair’s reflections

The Chair reflected on the upcoming meeting.  

3. Minutes

The Board approved the minutes of the Board meetings held on 11 and 26 November 2025.

Strategy, risk and portfolio

4. CEO update

The Board was updated on and discussed recent developments in the CMA’s portfolio and risk profile. It also reviewed the external guidance tracker and the finance update for P08 (November).

5. Audit Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC) update

The Board was updated on recent ARAC meeting.

6. Digital Markets Board Committee ppdate

The Board was updated on recent DMBC and its sub-committee meetings.

7. Legislative Reform update on DBT Consultation

The Board received an update on the Government’s consultation on proposed changes to the competition regime. The Board noted the planned approach for developing the CMA’s response.

8. Private dentistry

The Board received an update on the proposed scope of a market study into private dentistry. The Board agreed to launch the study and delegated approval of the detailed terms to the Chair and CEO.

9. Competition Enforcement Strategy and Pipeline update

The Board received an update on the competition enforcement strategy and noted developments across the current portfolio and future pipeline.
