Details

Oxfordshire County Council have employed contractors to carry out repair works to the southern navigation channel bridge arch at Folly Bridge, Oxford. They are also carrying out repairs to a section of failed riverbank at the same location.

In order for the works to be carried out the narrow channel through the southern, left bridge arch must be closed. The closure of this channel will be marked with the appropriate red navigation marker buoys. The main northern, right navigation channel and arch remain open to navigation in the normal way. River users are reminded that boats going upstream must give way to boats coming downstream.

We apologise for any inconvenience this closure causes and thank you for your patience during this time.

Note: All directions as to left and right are given looking upstream.
