Capita has shared 50 of the oldest bereavement cases (over 150 days old) for the DWP surge team to investigate. These cases will be handed back to Capita when the queries have been resolved so Capita can make the necessary payments.

Retirement quotes
At the end of June, Capita had c4,000 quotations remaining in the backlog and committed to clearing the backlog within six weeks. 3,087 quotes were issued by the end of August. Capita to update on the outstanding c900 quotes.
From July, Capita committed to issuing quotes within six weeks of receipt. We continue to work with Capita to assure their performance.
