Annex A: offence recording codes

The codes for recording offences by the police and the courts for statistical purposes within the Home Office Recorded Crime and Ministry of Justice Court Appearance Database (CAD) – which includes cautions - are as follows:

Ethylphenidate, 3,4-dichloromethylphenidate (‘3,4-DCMP’), methylnaphthidate (‘HDMP-28’), isopropylphenidate (‘IPP’ or ‘IPPD’), 4-methylmethylphenidate, ethylnaphthidate and propylphenidate, and their simple derivatives:

  • 093/85 - Produce/being concerned in the production of a drug subject of a temporary class drug order
  • 093/86 - Supply/offer to supply or being concerned in the supply/offer to supply a drug subject of a temporary class drug order
  • 093/88 - Possess with intent to supply a drug subject of a temporary class drug order
  • 093/87 - Permit the use of premises for the supply/production of a drug subject of a temporary class drug order
  • 093/89 - Obstruct a PC in exercise of a section 23A(6) power to detain / search a person / vehicle / vessel regarding a drug subject of a temporary class drug order

Importation and Exportation offences under Sections 70(1)(b) & (3) & (4) Schedule 1 and Sections 68(2) & (4) of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979 are as follows:

  • 092/37 - Import a drug subject of a Temporary Class Order with intent to evade a prohibition / restriction
  • 092/38 - Concerned in evading the prohibition on exportation of a drug subject of a Temporary Class Order from the United Kingdom

Offences under Sections 19(2)(a) & 4(b)of the Criminal Justice (International Co-operation) Act 1990 is as follows:

  • S 77/65 - Possess a drug subject of a Temporary Class Order on board a ship
