QGMI, RN32 Road Rehabilitation, Guinea

2. Description of project

The Government of Guinea is proposing an upgrade to the existing RN32 Road, approximately 85km in length, located between Kouroussa and Niandankoro in the Haute Guinea region of the Republic of Guinea.

Currently the RN32 road is unpaved and can be impassable in rainy seasons. Once completed, the Project aims to provide year-round paved connectivity for communities served by the existing road and for cross-border freight traffic between Guinea and Mali. A toll for use of the upgraded road for long-distance traffic is proposed. Other project components include bridge upgrades, road widening, footway provision, and drainage. Temporary construction activities including a new quarry with an upgraded associated access road.

Between Kouroussa and Niandankoro, Republic of Guinea.
