Project Marigold
2. Description of project
Petronas and Saudi Aramco have formed two Joint Ventures (JVs) for the development of certain facilities and units as part of the larger Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project, in the Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) South Johor, Malaysia.
The Marigold Project will consist of two key components:
- Refinery, steam cracker and extraction complex, and refinery tankage (refinery and steam cracker complex)
- C2/C3 polymers derivate complex (downstream petrochemical complex)
The refinery and seam cracker complex will be constructed, owned and operated by Pengerang Refining Company. The Downstream Petrochemical Complex will be owned, constructed and operated by Pengerang Petrochemical Company.
3. Location of project
The Project is part of the larger RAPID project, in the Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) in Pengerang, Kota Tinggi district, south-east Johor, Malaysia.
