New International Airport, Cabinda.
2. Description of project
The Project consists of the construction and operation of a new International Airport to the north of Cabinda city, Angola, covering an unoccupied greenfield site of 853 ha. The new airport responds to the predicted growth in air traffic demand at the existing Cabinda airport, built in 1951. Due to the highly urbanised area around the existing airport, there is no available space for an expansion of the airfield and a lack of space to expand the terminal building and support facilities. Thus, the decision to build a new airport in a greenfield area, 36 km north of Cabinda with infrastructure capable to handle the foreseen demand in air traffic.

The Project is located in the north of Cabinda city, Angola.
