Mersin to Gaziantep High Standard Rail Project (‘MAG’)
2. Description of project
The Project is the construction and operation of the 286 km high standard rail line between Mersin city and Baspinar station, passing through Adana, Toprakkale, Bahce and Nurdagi.
The Project aims to improve and expand the national railway network and integrate it with other transportation modes, increasing the share of railway intercity transportation and making it faster, safer and more affordable.
The Project is largely contained within the existing expropriation corridor, with limited requirement for new land acquisition which will be carried out to international standards.
