Gemlik Gübre Sanayii A.Ş, Urea Production Plant, Turkey
2. Description of project
The Project relates to the implementation of a new Urea Plant and Urea Ammonium Nitrate (UAN) plant in Gemsaz area of Ata Mahallesi, Gemlik District of Bursa, Turkey.
The new Urea Production Plant will have a capacity of 1,640 metric tonnes per day (MTPD) of granular Urea and 500 MTDP of UAN and will run on the Urea technology of Stamicarbon, a fully owned subsidiary of the Maire Tecnimont Group.
The Plant is planned to include a natural gas fired steam boiler with an installed capacity of 45MW.
3. Location of project
The Project will be located within the borders of the existing Fertilizer Facility in Gemsaz area of Ata Mahallesi, Gemik Distsrict of Bursa, Turkey.
4. Source of environmental information
An Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) complemented by the non-technical summary (NTS) has been developed for the project.
