Dhi Qar Power Station.
2. Description of project
Construction and operation of a 750MW combined cycle gas turbine power station in southern Iraq, to be developed in phases. Phase 1 comprises the construction of a simple cycle power plant with a capacity of 432.8MW, and Phase 2 comprises the addition of a steam turbine and heat recovery steam generators, bringing the capacity to 750MW. UKEF’s potential support would be for Phase 1.
