Category A project under consideration
1. Name of project
Anma Wind Energy Company, Offshore Wind Farm, South Korea.
2. Description of project
The Anma Wind Farm Project is a 532MW offshore wind farm project.
The Project involves the construction and operation of the wind farm and comprises two offshore sites encompassing 38 x 14MW wind turbines in total delivering ~224MW capacity (“Phase 1”) and ~308MW capacity (“Phase 2”), offshore and onshore transmission cables and substation works.
3. Location of project
Approx. 5km from the western coast of Anma Island and approx. 34 km from shore with landfall in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, South Korea.
4. Source of environmental information
An Environmental Impact Assessment has been developed for the Project (Korean) along with a Non-Technical Summary and other supporting impact assessment documentation (English). These documents can be accessed at the following weblink:
